EASTER SEALS CHILD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Ages: 6 weeks to 5 years

The Easter Seals Child Development Center is located on the Oklahoma Health Center campus with the purpose of providing high quality, convenient child-development for all families.

Easter Seals Child Development Center is an awe-inspiring three-star DHS approved center, a member of the Oklahoma Child Care Association and is recognized through National Early Childhood Accreditation as being a dedicated center that makes children their first priority. We offer developmentally appropriate learning activities and services to meet the unique needs of each child through stimulating and individualized activities along with music, Kinderfit and Intergenerational programs.

Our Preschool and Pre-K programs offer:
 Sign language
 PE class
 Music class                                                                         
 Cooking
 Education based curriculum

Easter Seals Oklahoma welcomes diversity and children of all abilities and offers top quality inclusive care to children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. Also, our teachers to child ratios meet and/or exceed child care licensing requirements. Plus, all of Easter Seals of Oklahoma teachers have education in early childhood development, experience in childcare, mandated to take 20 hours of continuing education each year, and are certified in CPR and First Aid.

Tours are scheduled Monday-Friday 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Easter Seals Oklahoma Child Development Center, a preschool and childcare center, has been awarded the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA).  The Easter Seals’ Center is the only nationally accredited child care program serving the downtown area.  This nationally recognized accreditation follows a rigorous process of self-study, surveys of parents and staff, verification by early childhood education/child care professionals, and a final review by the NECPA Board of Commissioners.  The accreditation is valid for three years, after which the program must complete the process again in order to maintain its accredited status.
 
During the accreditation process all areas of the school’s program are scrutinized including administration, staff development and the working environment, the developmental program, indoor and outdoor environments, health and safety, and parent and community relations. 
 
NECPA Accreditation is reserved for exceptional early childhood programs that substantially exceed minimum state licensing requirements.  Parents seeking care and education for their young children can use national accreditation as a means of locating the highest quality programs.
 
In awarding NECPA accreditation to Easter Seals Oklahoma Child Development Center, NECPA President, Harsh Chadha stated, “The NECPA accreditation program has been carefully created to create broad public understanding of the benefits of high quality early childhood care and education. Coupled with this increased understanding is a raised awareness of the professional expertise required to deliver that high quality care and an appreciation of the advantages that children receive from accredited centers and schools.”
 
As an NECPA accredited program, Easter Seals Oklahoma Child Development Center has maintained its place among a select group of early childhood education centers nationwide distinguished by their quality, commitment to young children, and their dedication to excellence.
