Autism
Easter Seals Oklahoma’s Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI) program offers an individualized, comprehensive program for children ages two through five who have been diagnosed with autism, and for their families. This program utilizes components of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in a fun learning environment that allows each child to engage in small steps toward typical childhood behavior.
Children who participate in the program are initially assessed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to determine skill level. An individual program is developed for each child based upon the results of the initial assessment. Goals based upon the initial assessment are determined and monitored through extensive daily data collection. Data is constantly monitored and evaluated for any modifications in program development. Skills assessed include communication, social, self-care, motor, play, and academic. Utilizing ABA therapy in the inclusive environment, our desire is to reinforce desirable skills and reduce undesirable skills to enable each child to integrate successfully into the public school environment and lead an independent life. The program is part of the inclusive child development center. Children must be enrolled full-time in the center.
